NOTICE!

Attention GCS Families,

Due to continuing impact of the winter storm, the Groton Dunstable Public School System has announced a two-hour delay for Tuesday, February 24, 2026.  Therefore Groton Community School will have a one-hour delay.  Full Day programs will open at 9 AM, and Half Day classes will begin at 9:45 AM.

Helping our school soar!

From time to time, Groton Community School undertakes targeted project to enhance our facility and learning environments in ways that support children’s growth, creativity and exploration.

Past examples include:

  • The Dreamscapers project in 1984 to construct a custom school building on our 110 Boston Road site.
  • The Playscape Project in 2002, to redesign our playground, incorporating new and exciting multi sensory and natural elements.
  • A significant example most recently was our Forward Motion Campaign to completely renovate and expand the school to become the state of the art facility it is today.

LOOKING AHEAD

GCS is currently planning future updates to our outdoor playground and learning spaces.  These playscape enhancements will support active play, social emotional development, and outdoor learning experiences for our children.

Details, timelines and funding goals will be shared once plans are finalized!
