Our Groton Community Summer Camp provides a summer of exciting experiences for young campers 3 through 7 years of age. We follow the same philosophy as our school year program, which strives to provide each child with the happiest, most positive first camp experience. Camp activities include music, arts & crafts, construction opportunities, water fun, sports, creative dramatics, science & sensory explorations, and nature study.
We welcome the community to join us in the summer. Contact us regarding availability!
GCS CAMP CALENDAR
Our GCS Camp Program 2021 will operate for Full Day Families on Mondays through Thursdays, from 8 AM to 5 PM, for eight weeks, beginning on Monday, June 28th and ending on Thursday, August 19th.
Due to the continuation of COVID-19 concerns, our Half Day Camp will be abbreviated this summer. Two mini Half Day sessions (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) are being offered July 6th to 9th and again July 20th to 22nd.
FULL DAY CAMP
GCS Camp offers a Full-Day Program that runs from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Thursday, beginning in June and ending mid-August. Camp is closed in observance of Independence Day. This program offers the same camp experience as our Half-Day Program, plus time for lunch, a rest period, a nutritious afternoon snack, and additional fun, exciting indoor and outdoor activities.
HALF DAY CAMP
GCS Camp typically offers two-week morning sessions beginning late June through mid-August. Our sessions run on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday from 8:45 to Noon. Due to the continuation of COVID-19 concerns, this year we are offering 2 one-week sessions.
GCS Camp typically offers an extended day option called “Camp Continues” from Noon until 5 PM. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis at an hourly rate. Pre-registration is required at the beginning of the session. Due to the continuation of COVID-19 concerns, we are not offering Camp Continues for half-day campers this summer.
What Our Families Say:
“Our daughter loved Camp and came home each day so tired, but so excited, with stories about the terrific activities. She especially loved when they played on the water slide on hot days! At the end of her sessions at camp we were given a huge envelope with all of her art projects. We were really impressed by how they integrated the camp theme for that summer into the art and activities as a teaching opportunity. So much thought clearly goes into the planning and operation of Camp. She still talks about her camp experience almost a year later!”
