It is hard to believe that a year has passed since the pandemic changed the way we live our lives. Anniversaries are often a time for reflection, for celebrating successes or mourning losses. As the GCS Board of Directors President, I am very fortunate to have many successes to celebrate thanks to the creativity of our Board members and every person who supports our efforts; school staff, current GCS families, GCS alumni, and our vast network of community partners. I am reminded of this support each time I enter our beautifully renovated school at 110 Boston Road. Our staff and students are settling in nicely and loving their new home. We hope to be able to share this beautiful space with the community very soon.
As we head into the spring, please look out for our many activities and events including the next exciting class in our successful workshop series-a cooking class! If you are looking for ways to get more involved in our school community, please reach out. We are recruiting for open Board roles and other volunteer opportunities.
As much as I love celebrating successes, I also want to recognize that this year has been challenging for so many of us. As longer days and warmer weather approach, my sincere wish is that we can all find some time to relax and connect with loved ones. Please know that I hold each of you in my thoughts as we continue to weather these unpredictable times.
