ABOUT THE EVENT

The Search is ON!  While Groton Community School is unable to offer our Groton Community Home Tour, due to health and safety mandates, a safe and exciting community outing is still possible!

Please join us for this year’s Groton Community Tour!  Enjoy a day of fun for all ages with a community tour scavenger hunt, a self-guided driving tour highlighting local history and promoting small business while combining many of the favorite elements of our traditional Home Tour. The Groton Community Tour will be held on October 17, 2020.

Start outdoors at Groton Community School (14 Main Street, Groton) where you will collect Community Tour materials.  You will also have the opportunity to buy tickets to take a chance on winning amazing prizes.  From there your adventure begins! Teams will decipher clues leading them to approximately 15 mystery destinations to collect kite stamps in their event guide book.  Some locations may offer an outdoor activity or your team may be challenged to complete a task.  You may even discover a clue to a future Home Tour location! All proceeds benefit our non-profit, early childhood center, supporting the growth and development of young children.

Participants are required to wear masks and must adhere to social-distancing mandates abiding by event markers separating parties. Hours of the event are 10:00-4:00 with staggered start times and locations to allow space between groups.  We look forward to seeing you on October 17th!

WE PLAN TO RETURN

…to our traditional, annual Groton Community Home Tour in the fall of 2021, if health and safety conditions permit!  Check back for this annual event on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
