Back To School 2023-2024
We are enjoying these last few weeks of summer, and looking forward to fall! It doesn’t seem possible that a new school year is coming soon?! Here are a few dates for GCS Families to keep in mind as we welcome new and returning friends:
- “Hello” Letters from teachers to children -End of August
- Family Orientation Day – Thursday, August 31st. Look for info regarding your child’s classroom and Family Orientation timing in an individualized packet via USPO
- First Day of School – Tuesday, September 5th

In preparation for the school year, families are encouraged to label children’s belongings. Mabel’s Labels is a great resource for personalized, durable, waterproof labels! Did you know they also make clothing stamps and silicone bands for water bottles? Check them out at campaigns.mabelslabels.com and be sure to choose “Groton Community School” as your organization of choice!
